Faith For Real Life was created to explore what it actually means to live out Christian faith in everyday life. Our goal is simple: to read, learn, and apply biblical truth to real-life situations. Through Christian books, scripture, and personal reflection, we share what we’re learning and how those lessons can shape our daily lives. Faith isn’t meant to stay inside church walls. It’s meant to guide how we live, how we treat others, how we grow in character, and how we navigate both the good days and the difficult ones.
On this site, you’ll find reflections on Christian books, lessons from scripture, and practical thoughts on living a faith-centered life in the real world. We are not pastors or theologians. We are simply men that believe that God’s Word has wisdom for every part of life, and that learning and growing in faith is a lifelong journey. If you’re looking for encouragement, thoughtful Christian reading, and practical ways to apply faith in everyday life, you’re in the right place
Thanks for being here.

Faith for Real Life – Real faith. Real struggles. No pretending.
My name is Mike. I’m a husband, a father, a grandfather… and a man who’s still learning how to walk this out every single day.
I don’t have it all figured out.
I don’t always get it right.
And I’m not here to act like I do.
This isn’t a perfect story. This is real life.
Why This Exists
At some point, it hit me… It’s easy to talk about faith when everything is going good. But what about when it’s not?
When:
- your health is being tested
- stress is constant
- work doesn’t slow down
- life feels heavy
That’s where faith gets real. That’s where mine has been tested. And that’s why I started writing.
What You’ll Find Here
This isn’t a blog about being perfect.
It’s about:
- showing up even when you don’t feel like it
- choosing discipline over emotions
- staying grounded when life gets chaotic
- trusting God when things don’t make sense
I write about what I’m going through in real time. The good. The bad. The moments I get it right… and the ones I don’t. Because that’s what real faith looks like.
Real Life Doesn’t Pause
I’ve dealt with real pressure. Health challenges. Stress. Trying to balance work, family, and everything in between.
And here’s what I’ve learned:
When I stay close to God… things change. Not always perfectly. But differently. Stronger. Clearer. More focused.
Who This Is For
This is for you if:
- you believe in God but struggle to stay consistent
- you’re trying to become stronger mentally and spiritually
- you’re dealing with real life, not just “good days”
- you want to grow, but you’re not pretending to be perfect
If that sounds like you… you’re in the right place.

God Is Answering My Prayers… So Why Am I Still Scared?
That post explains everything this site stands for. ⸻ Final Word I’m not here to preach at you. I’m walking this out myself.
Brian Davis
Hello, my name is Brian. Each day I get older, and I’m hoping a little wiser. God has been faithful to me throughout every season of my life, and this space is simply my attempt to share those experiences as honestly as I can through articles, reviews, and what I like to call “letters to my boys”—thoughts and reflections for my three sons as they quickly grow into young men.
At the end of the day, I’m just a regular guy trying to navigate life faithfully as a follower of Christ, a husband, and a father—in that order. It took me far too long, and more than a little pain, to learn what it truly means to place Christ at the center of everything. My hope is that by sharing what I’ve learned along the way, I might encourage or help others in some small way on their own journey.
As my Uncle Mike often says, we’re not theologians, so don’t expect flawless biblical insight or deeply academic discussions. What you can expect, however, is sincerity, humility, and perhaps something here that helps you take one more step toward becoming more like Christ.
